a. What Do We Believe? Free Spirit Worship Center embraces a theological view that affirms the Bible as the inspired, authoritative witness to the Word of God. We honor and practice the sacraments of baptism and communion. The Holy Spirit is free to minister through wonderful manifestations of God. Post denominational means that we come from a variety of Christ-centered traditions and have no desire to leave the best practices behind. We are not anti denomination, but seek to enhance Christ's church.

b. How Does the Church Do It’s Work? We function through ministry teams. All members serve on one or more teams. The team concept allows of each person to feel empowered and serve, as they feel led. There are no “bosses!” We believe that Christ is the“head” of the church and we are only a small part of a large body. Our interactive worship service incorporates music, art drama and dance.

c. Where Do You Meet? We currently meet at Marc Stewart’s Guesthouse, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. (address.) Sunday service is 10:00am.

d. What is the atmosphere like? The atmosphere is reverent, yet casual. There is no official (or unofficial!) “dress code!” You’ll likely see people dressed in jeans, suits, dresses, and sweatshirts. Feel free to dress how you are most comfortable.

e. Is there a place for me? Yes! We believe in fostering a sense of community where all are encouraged to accept and share their own uniqueness, beauty, and talent.

f. What if I’m gay? Free Spirit Worship Center is open and affirming. If you are gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or trans gender, or if you are straight and a supporter of the GLBT community, you will be welcomed, loved and fully included just as you are!
